Handbag die

One of this year's new additions to the Stampin' Up! product list was the cute little Petite Purse die. I have used it here to make a small gift for all my ladies and filled them with chocolates. Would also be great for party and wedding favours or just to package that special gift!

Here is a fab little box that a crafting colleague of mine, Carol Fox has made using on of Stampin' Up!'s little kraft gift boxes. Isnt it beautiful!

The boxes are on page 161 of the main catalogue, and are priced at £2.75 for 4.

Here is one that I made to show you how versatile they are. Great for presents or even as party boxes. Dont forget to contact me if you would like to order some or anything else from the catalogue.

Sorry I have been a very bad blogger again!

Time just seems to fly by and before you know it, it's Christmas. I have been so busy making cards etc for classes and for the Flower Shop that I have not done any for myself, so last night I decided to crack on.

Here are some that I made using the Noel Notes Simply Sent Set, with some of the little house paper in the Snow Festival DSP and then just glittered up with Dazzling Details.

Really quick to do as most of the work is done for you and its just a case of cutting the DSP and putting it all together.

Job done!!

Thank you to all those ladies that attended my Christmas card class last night. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves although it did get a bit manic near the end, and that you enjoy finishing off your cards at home.

Here is a photo of my cards for you use as a guide. Also dont forget to jazz them up with your Dazzling Detail Glitter. Further classes are detailed on my blog. X

However, if you would like a copy of the brand new catalogue, then contact me to get one posted to you, or better still, if you book a party or join my monthly club, then you can get one for free.
Better still come along to my coffe morning on Saturday 13th October between 10 - 12 at the Martin Saunders Scout hall, East Ham Road for a look. There will be a make & take to do, raffle, a 10% discount on orders placed on the day and refreshments.

October's class

Well almost the end of September. Where has the month gone!

Been busy over the weekend designing cards for this months class. It will include all the materials to make four cards from the selection below, along with spare papers from the Festival of Prints christmas papers and a pot of Dazzling Details, which is the new glitter glue from Stampin Up. Great to add a bit of bling to your Christmas projects. Hope you like them.

October is a busy month for us Stampin Up ladies as it is new catalogue time!

I am currently planning a coffee morning on Saturday 13th October at the Scout Hall in East Ham Road, Littlehampton and hope you can pop in for a cuppa and a look at the fab new products. There will be a make & take, raffle and refreshments but I will post further details in the next week or so.

Sunday 16 September 2012

CHRISTMAS IS COMMING!!!

On Friday night I held a Stampin Up Christmas Party to highlight some of the fabulous goodies in the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue, which I urge you to take a look at as it is full of beautiful products.

Here are some pictures of the examples that I made using the new bits and pieces.

I think the most popular item was the Noel Notes Simply Sent set. This is a great self assembly kit, suitable for all crafters no matter what experience and also a great way to involve the kids with making the Christmas cards. I placed a photo of my kids in one and stamped images in the others, but you could also use the envelope liner as backing paper too.

Tuesday 28 August 2012

Ho Ho Ho Christmas is Coming!!!

Sorry I have been quiet for a while. The Farquhars went to Ireland last week but now we are back!

I came home to find a big box of goodies from Stampin Up waiting for me. It was full of some of the new products from the new Autumn/Winter Mini catalogue, which you can order from on 1st September, and they are fab! I am so excited about them and hope you will be too.

With that in mind I will be holding a Stampin Up Christmas Party on Friday 14th September here at Sandfield Ave to get you in the mood. So if you have nothing better to do why not pop in for a look and a mince pie.

There is lots of new products covering Halloween and Christmas for crafters and non crafters alike. The catalogue also offers some great ideas of how to jazz up you Christmas gifts.

Here is a sneak peek of one of the products!

Also on the 1st September the retiring items list will be released and I will post that as soon as I can.

I am also looking for new members of my Virtual Hostess Club (Stampers 8. I currently have 4 ladies that are ready to go so only need another 4.

You commit to placing an order of a minimum of £20 per month for 8 months and one of the months you will be the Hostess and can earn FREE hostess pounds to spend in the catalogue.

You get a FREE catalogue and any seasonal catalogues too!

Lots of my customers love this way of building up their crafty stash bit by bit each month, and it also means you can obtain the special hostess products, without holding a party.

Please message me if you would like a place or would like more information, or if you be attending on Friday 14th.

Up Up and Away!

July and August are big months for birthdays in our family, and mostly the boys. So I decided to make a batch of blokey cards using the Up Up and Away stamp set and the Well Worn dsp. I coloured them with the markers and then used the "huffing" technique, along with a bit of masking.

I found it very relaxing and was very pleased with the results. Hope you like them too.

Saturday 21 July 2012

Is summer here?

What is that big yellow thing in the sky? Could it be the sun and if so lets hope its here to stay for a while!

Helen and I have decided to take a break from classes in August as people are away here and there, and it will also give us a chance to recharge our batteries and create some exciting new projects for the classes when they resume in September.

Here is a picture of the Flower Treat Holder and matching card we will be making in September. Class details are on the class page and remember, booking essential so that we have enough materials for all that want to take part.

If however you are having crafty withdrawal symptoms, there are still places left at the "craft & create" sessions on Wedneday at the Wick Week where you will be able to make a real flower posy and card for £5 - a bargin! Not many on the evening one but quite a few left on the afternoon one.

Although I may be a bit quite during the hols, behind the scenes I will be working hard. There is a new Winter mini catalogue out on 1st September and I hope to be playing with some of the fabulous Christmas papers and stamps that will be available, and the new main Catalogue will be released on 1st October, so lots to look forward to.

Saturday 14 July 2012

Here is the card that you will be making if you decide to come and join us at Wick Week on 25th July. The colours may vary, but the design will be the same. Hope you like it!

Thursday 12 July 2012

Well where is the summer. Might start the Christmas cards if this weather continues!

There will be no card classes in August due to summer holidays!!!

However I will be at the Wick Hall on Wednesday 25th July as part of the annual Wick Week activites, where Michelle from the Flower Shop and I will be running two create and craft sessions. They will be 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. The cost is £5 for a session and bookings and payment can be made to the Flower Shop or the Wick Information Centre. Space are limited so dont delay if you fancy joining us. Last year the arrangements the ladies went home with were beautiful and everybody said how much they enjoyed themselves.

Morning all. Hope you havent had too much damage with all these high winds.

Here is my latest offering. They are gift card/ money holders. They are quick and easy to make and can be tailor-made for any occasion.

They could be one of the things you and your guests could make if you were to hold a Stampin' Up! party, and dont forget that for the months of June & July if you have £325 or over in sales you will receive an extra £30 on top of the existing hostess benefits.

Contact me if you are interested. X

Tuesday 12 June 2012

Had a bit of free time over the weekend so put these together. I have used the same design as the card that goes with the Toto Bag class card. It just goes to show that you can use the same basic design, but just use different colour paper and card.

Saturday 9 June 2012

Mixed Bunch Stamp Set

Morning all hope you havent had any problems with the weather. Good washing day!!
Was having a play the other day and made these two cards using the Mixed Bunch stamp set and matching punch. Its not SU paper, but everything else is. Still have lots of other bits I am trying to use up, so that I can replace with SU stuff!

Sunday 3 June 2012

Embossing

Now that I am feeling a bit better after my little op I decided today to get the old crafting stuff out and put some ideas together for the Embossing class on Tuesday 19th June.

We will be running through the basics of inks and embossing powders and their uses. We will have a go at embossing and I hope to pass on a few tips, so hopefully the ladies will be able to go home and emboss to their hearts content!!

We will also be making a card or two, and today I was playing, in between watching HRH on the river. Shame about the weather but didnt they all look fab!

Here is what I made.

Hope you like them.

Still four places left so dont forget to let me know if you would like to come.

Sunday 27 May 2012

Good morning all and what a fantastic day it is!

I have a couple of things to show you today which I hope you will like.

The first is a photo of the project we will making at the June classes, as I didnt think the one I have already posted does it justice.
I have used a different paper, still from the Sale a Bration pack and a different ribbon colour. There will be various designs for you to choose from if you decide to join the class and I will need to know asap so that I can ensure we have enough materials for all.

The second project I thought I would show you is some cards I made using up some scrap from the overflowing scraps box. Still more to go! Its not my own design but one I have copied from a lady called Karin Menghini. Its using the Little Leaves Big shot sizzlets die and the boho flowers punch. A simple but elegant card I thought and a great way to use up bits and pieces.

Friday 25 May 2012

Embossing Class

Morning all! Sorry I have been a very bad blogger again, but time just seems to be flying by. I just seem to have time to prepare for classes, then they have come and gone and its on to the next one!

The next ones are on 11th & 12th June and we will be making a card tote bag suitable for all those odd shaped presents you need to package and a matching card. You will also receive a pack of pearls to take home and glam up your other projects. There are still places available on both classes so let me know if you wish to attend and I will put your name down. Furthur details on the classes page.

On the subject of classes, I have been asked to do an embossing class so I have arranged with hubby to have the house on the evening of the 19th June. There will be 6 spaces, 2 of which have gone, at a cost of £6. We will look at the inks and embossing powders you need, have a play and make a card or two using embossing techniques. Heat embossing is a great way to add dimension and colour to your designs, as it gives a rised and shiny outline to your images. Once again let me know if you would like to come.

Still looking for party hostesses and Stampers group members. I have three ladies chopping at the bit waiting to order, mainly from the new summer mini.

Monday 7 May 2012

Saturday's craft fair

Morning ladies and what a grey one it is. Lets hope the weather improves, so that I can get the kids out in the garden to burn off some energy, while I spend some time playing with my bits from the new summer mini catty.

Thanks to those ladies that came along to see me on Saturday morning, to have a go on the make & take table and benefit from a 10% discount on their orders.

I was also taking names for my new stampers group and had a lovely new lady Sarah join the crew! If you love Stampin Up this is a great way to build up your stash and also earn free Stampin Up products, without holding a party. The group will commit to spend £150 between them, which is the required amount to start earning hostess benefits. Every month one member will take it in turn to become the 'virtual hostess' and receive the hostess benefits. Everyone who joins my Stampers 10 club will also receive a free copy of the Stampin Up catalogue if they don't already have one. If you would like to join please let me know.

I also had my booking basket with me, where anyone could pick a small thank you gift for booking a party or mini card class with me or Helen. I still have it handy so also let me know if you have a free date to gather a few friends together for a fun evening of creating. The mini card classes cost £6 per person, but they will go home with 5 cards crafted by themselves. If you just want to host a party there will be a demo by myself and Helen plus a small make & take so that your friends can have a little play with the products.

Helen and I will be busy over the next few days preparing for the Men & Boys card class next week. Still a couple of places but you will need to be quick if you would like to join us.

Change of Venue

Hi there ladies.

Hope all is well with you and that you gardeners are enjoying the rain.

Unfortunatly due to so many people being away over the bank holiday weekend, Helen and I have decided to postpone the afternoon craft class on 5th May to another time. This will hopefully accommodate all those people that wanted to do it, but couldnt make it because of previous engagements. I am very sorry to those people who booked and paid a deposit, and I will contact you separately, but hope you will still want to make the lovely Mocha Card Box.

The morning event will still be taking place but at a different venue. It will be in the small Wick hall, Wick Street, next to Going Spare. A make & take and coffees will still be available, and also there will be a craft fair going on in the large hall, so something else to have a look at too.

I do hope you will still be able to join me to have a look at the new catty and a play. I will be taking orders and as usuall will give a 10% discount on all placed on the day. I will also signing up members for our new Stampers group.

Saturday 14 April 2012

Final reminder

This is your final reminder that the Stampin' Up! Spring mini catalogue expires on 30th April, when the products will no longer be available. Some of them may be carried over to the main catalogue in October, but we wont know till then. So if there is anything you really wanted, it is best to get it now, just in case it disappears for ever.

I am doing an order on Monday, so let know by Sunday evening if there is anything you would like me to add for you.

Also don't forget to let me have your deposits for the Mocha Card Box class by next Friday so that the materials can be ordered for that. After that date I cannot guarantee you a place.

Wednesday 4 April 2012

Mocha Box Class

Bookings are now being taken for the Mocha Box Class on Saturday 5th May 1.30 - 4.00 pm.

A £10 deposit is required by 20th April please to secure your place and to enable us to obtain the materials. This will include all the materials needed to make the project.

You will be getting half a pack of this delicious paper pack which will be more than enough for the box and you will have enough to take home and play with.

We also hope to see you in the morning for our Coffee Morning where we will be looking at the new summer mini, having a play and a chat over a cup of coffee.

Book early to avoid disappointment

Although all the materials are provided you will need to bring your own trimmer and scorer as there will a lot of this involved and it will save time rather than sharing. As these items are jolly useful it is a good idea to have your own anyway. With this in mind and as a special offer from us for April, Helen and I are also offering a 10% discount on a Stampin' Up! trimmer and scoring blades. It would normally cost you £24.45 but we will only charge £22.00. So dont forget to place your order for these aswell, so that they can be ordered in time for the class.

Tuesday 3 April 2012

Triple Treat Flower

Helen and I are at Horndean tomorrow. The ladies who are such good fun, will be making a card using the the Triple Treat Flower, which matches the Fancy Flower and Five Petal Flower punches.

They will be making it in Old Olive and Rose Red, but I have also made one in Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party to show how versatile the stamp is. It is great for using the marker pens with instead of inks.

Wednesday 21 March 2012

Just finished making another set for our mini cards classes. It is using the Paisley Petals designer paper and my new favorite, the Lace Ribbon punch.
How about getting a group of friends together to make this lovely little set at your very own private card class. Cost £6 per person for the class, or £21.25 to include your very own punch to keep (normal punch price £18.25).
Dont forget that as the hostess your class is free!!

Fab Class!

Yet another fab evening with my lovely Wick Hall crafting ladies last night. They all did very well and went home with a set of 5 mini cards.

There were a few design changes - Pauline, but that's what crafting is all about and its great to see different ideas and people stamping their own personality on their creations. Well done to all!!

The class will be repeated on Monday at the Windmill between 2 and 4 pm, and there are still some spaces left.

Don't forget if you haven't been able to make the classes but would still like to make the cards, why not gather a few friends together and hold a mini card class at home. You just provide a table and a cuppa and I will do the rest.

New Year and New Classes

Right now the Christmas decs are all put away and the house back to normal, time to get the crafting stuff out again!
Had the first Windmill Class of the year yesterday and the first Wick Hall class tonight.
Spent the weekend planning and finishing off a few projects that had been put to one side. I also had a chance to make a couple of cards which kick started the creative juices!
The cards were using old retired papers, which I must admit were one of my favorites, but it was nice to be using stash up. Keeps him in doors happy too!!
