Christmas Time

Well its almost here! The tree is up, the presents wrapped and the turkey ready for collection.
Almost time to put our feet up, pour a glass and watch all the Christmas specials on tv.

Crafting stuff away for a few days as space needed for the Chrismas bits.

However the new gorgeous Spring catalogue and Sale-a-Bration leaflet still out for inspiration, ready to start planning for next year. Wickmas

If you are free Saturday morning, why not come along to the Wick Hall for the annual Wickmas extravaganza. There will be craft stalls, games, entertainment and refreshments and also a visit from Father Christmas. The event takes place between 10 at 1 pm and is free entry along with a free gift for the children, when they visit Santas grotto.

Christmas Boxes

Its not that long now until Christmas!! By now I am sure that most of you have made most or all of your Christmas cards and are now beginning to think of the presents.

With this in mind Stampin Up have a great range of boxes, which can turn a not so expensive gift into a great looking present. They can be filled with all sorts of things, including sweets, smellies, candles and  gifts, and would be fab for teacher gifts, Aunts and uncles, Grans and Grandads..... One day left till my Christmas Coffee Morning!!!

7 Sandfield Ave, 10 -12.30 if you have a chance to pop by for a coffee. There will be a make & take, raffle, lucky dip and a chance to check out some the Christmas products available this year.

Here is one of the boxes I decorated with leaves and a ribbon bow. Great for teacher treats or Christmas Fayre ideas! First Prize

November Class

Another successfull card class although there was a lot to do. I think everybody completed their project, but at least it was one they could take home to finish if they ran out of time.

The next class is on 5th November - no fireworks I hope - when we will be making tags for presents and bottles.

New Baby

A couple of weeks ago I became a great Aunt. How old that makes me feel!!!
I thought I would show you the card  I made using one of my old favorites - the Baby Tee's wheel and also the faux quilting technique using the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate.
Simples!!

Another good night!!!

We had another good night on Tuesday at the Wick Hall card class. It was nice to see a couple of new faces and great to have some of the old one's back!! They all worked very hard and completed their projects even though there was quite a bit of stampin and punching to do.

The next class is on Tuesday 1st October when we will starting prepartions for Christmas!!

Check out the details on the class page but here is a reminder of what we will be doing and also some different colourways to show that the same design can be used in different ways.

Don't forget if you choose the stamp and pen option, you will be getting the pens for free!! The stamp set has four stamps and is great for tags too. If you want to order this separately it is £12.95 plus p&p and £2.95  for each pen.

If you can't attend the class I can also provide all the materials needed for you to do yourself at home, or why not consider holding your own private class at home for you and a group of family and friends. Give me a buzz for futher details.

I will be away from 13th till 19th September, but you can always drop your class deposits through my door or into Michelle at the Flower Shop in Wick. Deposit's are essential this time as I will need to order the materials and stamps and will need to know by 22nd Sept at the latest if you require the stamps to allow enough time for delivery.

Christmas Bits n Bobs

Just thought I would show you a couple of the items that are in the seasonal catalogue. It may seem a long time away but in a few weeks that's all we will be thinking about!

 

The Decorative Window gift boxes come in packs of 6 for £4.50, that's only 75p per box!

 They measure 3.8 x10.2 x 10.2 and are food safe.

Great for those awkward shaped pressies or for glaming up something smaller

 

The bow's are pre cut out of light-weight paper, in two sizes, in red and green. For only £3.75 for 5 of each, another great way of sprucing up your gifts.

Christmas is Coming

Well I really am ahead of myself at the moment! I have October's class all planned too, and of course it is Christmas Cards as that time of year is now approaching!

You will receive enough materials to make 10 cards, a Christmas stamp set and two markers pens all for £23, which actually means you are getting the pens for free!!!

Of course if you still want the cards it is only £10, but it does mean that you won't be able to continue making your cards at home.

As the stamp set and pens will need to be ordered in advance I will need a £16 deposit when booking, and that can be done with me at the September class, at the Flower Shop or by contacting me at home.

Next Class

The next Wick Hall card class will be taking place on Tuesday 11th June between 7 - 9 pm. This time we will be decorating kraft boxes. They are already cut this time and just need assembling!

As I need to order the boxes please let me know... asap so I can ensure that I have enough packs for all.

£10 for the class but this includes all the materials required, refreshments and a free draw for one of the punches used on the night.

Lulamae's Chat & Do Evening

Last night I had another very pleasant evening at Lulamae's in Arundel at a chat and do evening. The ladies that didnt bring their own projects made a starburst card, and I was the class leader! Here are my two examples but the other ones the girls made were really fab. I just gave them some brief instructions and let them lose with my scrap boxes!

I will be there again on Wednesday 19th June repeating the cross stitch class that I am doing at Wick Hall next month. So if you cant make it then or would prefer to come to Arundel in June just let me know.

Back from Holiday.....& Exciting Stampin' UP! News

Hello Everyone!

Hope you all had a lovely Easter Break. We have been away for a week to Italy which was lovely and warm and full of good food and lovely people.   

I came back to some Exciting News yesterday though. Stampin' UP! are having a Colour Refresh.

Don't panic like I did!!! hee hee Only 10 colours are going and being replaced by 10 New Colours. Four of the colours we already have, 2 are returning colours Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride, plus 4 New Colours!

The Colour families are staying the same with a few changes as shown below.

  Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued colour products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last. So email me if there is anything you fancy as I will be placing an order in the next couple of days. You dont want to miss out!

 

Also due to unforeseen problems  the Watercolor Wonder Crayons and Watercolor Pencils are being discontinued and will only be available while stocks last too. I have the watercolour crayons and they are very easy to use and will be missed.

Last Chance!!

Just a reminder chaps that there are only a couple of days left of this years Sale a Bration offer. It was another successful Craft Evening at the Wick Hall on Tuesday and Maggie was the winner of a Boho Blossoms punch in the raffle.

There will be no class in April as I will be away and Michelle is holding her flower workshops on Wed 20th & Tues 26th March. I know how expensive all these activities can be so close together so we will have a break for April. Pop into the shop to book your place for the workshop if you havent already, they are always great fun!!

The next Craft Evening will be on Tuesday 14th May and we will be making these two lovely cross stitch cards. Hope you can make it!!

 

The cost for the class on it own is £10 (to include materials and refreshments), however if you would like to have your own sentiments stamp set to take home with you it will be £14. The stamps set includes the words Happy Birthday (as shown above) and Thank you.

Please let me know by the end of April if you wish to join us or would like your own stamp so that I can ensure I have enough materials for all.

Where possible I like to make a "Thank You" card for my customers when they order Stampin Up stash from me. Sometimes they even receive a small sample of one of the products to have a play with!

This is the card I recently made for two of my ladies.  Hope you like them. It features the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set.

Here are my latest makes which I created on Friday when having a play on Friday night with my SU colleague Emma. It is great getting together with other people as they sometimes have the bits I dont have and it gives me a chance to to try before I buy!!
I have used the new pin wheel sizzlet die to make these cute little pin wheels, which are on cloud embossed card. I used the honey coombe embossing folder on the other card. I have to say that I am now tempted to buy both myself now!!

Class news

Its been a strange old week for me this week. Exciting at Morrisons, where I now work, as it was our opening week and slightly sad as after approx 5 years I did my last craft class at the Windmill. I have made the very hard decision to leave the Windmill for two reasons. Working at Morrisons on a Monday with a early start I was not  going to have enough time to comfortably set up and prepare for the class. Along with that, as the venue is under the threat of closure, it was also becoming upsetting to see the way the Windmill and its staff are being run down.

I have enjoyed the classes and the company of some really nice ladies and hope all those that have attended did too. I will miss them all, but hope that maybe some of them may join us at the Wick Hall on the first Tuesday of the month, which will continue. Once things have settled down at work I hope to organise some day time events for those that dont want to come out in the evenings.

The next Wick Hall class is on Tuesday 5th March, when we will be making this box, which has two compartments and is perfect for two small bottles of wine, oils and smellies. We will be using various papers including a pretty flower patterned one, the choice will be yours.

There are still spaces available, so please let me know if you would like to join us, or order anything from the current Stampin' Up! catalogues.

February's Class

Here is a picture of next month's class project, which we will be making at the Windmill and Wick hall, details of which can be found on the classes page.

It is using the Bright Blossoms stamp set (£14.95)and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch (14.25). The class will cost £10 (which includes all the required materials) however if you purchase the stamp set and punch you will only pay £5 for your class.
