Now that Christmas preparations are well under way I have been able to put my mind to new mini card class designs. Here is a set that I have put together using the Flirtatious designer paper.
If you cant make the classes at the Wick Hall or the Windmill why not book a mini class or party at your home. Don't forget that as the hostess you would get your class free.

A big thank you to those ladies who attended the Craft Coffee morning yesterday. Everybody had a go on the "make & take" table and had a play with the Stampin' Up! wheels. They all made this card topper using the Music wheel and Perfect Punches stamp set.
The Big Shot raffle took place and the lucky winner was Vicki Wright, the 2nd prize of a stamp set was won by Ann Bloom and the £5 gift voucher by Geraldine Brockhurst.
Congratulations to you all.
I only wish that everyone that entered could have won a prize.

Post operative!

As I am still feeling a little post operative following minor surgery last week, my creative juices haven't really been running.
However I have made these little gift tags which I have been able to pick up and put down when I have felt like it.
It has also been a great way to use up some scraps from the overflowing "scrap box".
I have used Quickutz dies, which work perfectly on my Big Shot. Also thank heavens for the sticker maker too as it save a lot of intricate glueing, which I just don't have the patience for at the mo!

Sunday 6 November 2011

Change of Plan!

Unfortunately the afternoon class on Saturday 26th November has been postponed.

However the Big Shot draw coffee morning is still taking place, but will be bigger and better!

Helen and I have thought it would a great idea to make it a Second Hand craft Sale, for you earn a few pennies for some new stash (hopefully from Stampin' Up!), from your old/unused crafting stuff or come and grab a bargain.

If you would like to have a table for £4 and get rid of some of your surplus stash
then please do not hesitate to contact me and I can save you a table. If not then just come and spend!!

Dont forget it is not only a Big Shot in the raffle, there is a 2nd prize of a stamp set and a 3rd prize of a £5 gift voucher. There will be Stampin' Up! products, gift vouchers and stocking fillers for sale. A make and take and refreshments will also be available.

Come along and dont forget to bring a friend and get your orders in for Christmas. Like last time there will be a 10% discount for any orders placed on the day.

Class reminders

Hello everyone in blogland. Sorry I havent posted for a while but the Farquhars have been away for a few days in York. The weather wasnt too bad and York is lovely, although I wouldnt recommend climbing up the tower of the Cathederal unless you are an olympic athelete!

Now it is back down to earth and to get up to date on all our crafting activites.

I would like to thank all those that came along to the Shopping Event last week. We raised £150 for the Scout group.

Next Thursday is the Wick Hall class, where we are making the Tote box and Christmas gift tags, so please let me know if you havent already, if you will be attending to ensure that we have enough kits made up.

Also dont forget the class at the Windmill on Monday 14th November. Helen will be taking it on her own as I will be on sick leave, so you will need to be on your best behaviour! Once again let me know if you want me to save you a space for this as well.

Tuesday 18 October 2011

New Stampers Group

Just to let those of you who are thinking about joining our new Stampers Group there are still a couple of places left.

Remember its a great way to increase your stash slowly over a few months and also to receive the hostess benefits without holding a party. There are some great hostess only stamp sets and paper. You would be able to buy any of them, unlike previous years when you would have been limited by the amount of sales. Take a look at the catalogue if you don't believe me, as I think they are the best yet.

Wednesday 12 October 2011

Busy Busy Busy

Well Helen and I are having a busy week, hence the lack of postings - sorry!
On Monday we were at the Windmill making the little Top Note box and tags and last night we were at Wick Hall making these lovely little Christmas Cards. Once again a great bunch of girls and thanks for bringing the chocolates Pauline!
And to finish the week off we are at Kim's doing the Merry Christmas box and card set.

Saturday 1 October 2011

Catalogue Launch Day

Well what a fab morning we had yesterday at our Stampin Up catalogue launch party.
Thank you to all those ladies and one gentlemen who attended. I hope you all had fun and had a chance to have a go at one of the make & takes.
Here is the fab little card that Helen demonstrated and that the ladies were able to have a go at.
Helen used the new Pennant Parade stamp set and the Petite Pennants Builder punch, which proved to be very popular. Even I must have one now!
I do have a couple of spaces on my new Stampers Group left if anyone would like to take them. Its a great way to buy all those lovely new things you would like and spread the purchases over a few months. For one of those months you will be the virtual hostess and receive the hostess benefits.
I have also introduced gift vouchers. Take a look at the Gift Voucher page for further details.

Elegant Soiree Mini Card Class

I spent this morning with a lovely bunch of ladies making cards in a pub! Doesn't get any better than that, although we did only have coffee and cake. Good job really as I am not sure how straight the cards would have been if the alcohol had been flowing!

Thank you ladies for having me and here is a picture of the cards we made.

Friday 16 September 2011

On Monday we are at the Windmill 2-4pm. We will be making 8 cards (2 of each) and the cost is £10 to include refreshments and materials.
On Tuesday we are at the Wick Hall 7-9pm. There we will be making 5 cards where the cost is £7 once again to include refreshments and materials.

They are £3.95 for a 22m reel. Let me know asap if you would like any, as once stocks are gone there will be no more.

Wednesday 31 August 2011

Not long now!!

Well not long till the new catalogue is available!!

But before that, tomorrow the Retiring Items list will be released. I will put it on my blog as soon as I can tomorrow, or if you would like me to email you a copy let me know. You will need to be quick if there is anything you would like as stock is limited and once its gone, its gone.

Also I will be starting my new Stampers Group following the release of the new catalogue at my Launch Party on Saturday 1st October, so keep the morning free!

Come along and have a play with some of the new products and sign up for the Stampers Group and receive a 10% discount on your first order and a free catalogue (rrp £5.95). A commissioned card!!

Hi, what a beautiful day it is here on the South coast today. Lets hope it stays like this for the weekend.
One of the ladies at work asked me if by chance I had a camper van stamp as she was looking for a Thank You card with a VW camper van on - private joke I think. You should have seen her face when I said yes and what colour would she like!
Anyway here it is, and she was chuffed with it.

Thursday 18 August 2011

Wick Hall Card Class

I have just finished putting all my bits away following the Love Letter mini card class that Helen and I took at the Wick Hall on Tuesday evening.
We had 18 ladies altogether who all did a fantastic job with their cards. As the evening was so successful and they all wanted more, Helen and I will be running a mini Christmas Card class on Tuesday 13th September. If this too is a success we may consider making it a regular thing.
Secretly I think some of the ladies just enjoy getting out for a good chat, with a little card making on the side! No problem for me, they are all great fun and its great to see them letting their hair down!!
These are the cards we will be making and if you fancy joining us, just let me know and I will make sure there is a space for you.

Very bad blogger again!!

Sorry that I havent been blogging for a while, but since the kids broke up from school , I dont seem to have had a minute to sit down and do anything.

We have had the Wick Week "Coffee & Create" where 25 ladies came along and made a beautiful posy with Michelle from the Flower Shop and a card with Helen and myself. It was a great success and the finished items looked great.

I will try and make a effort over the next couple of days to get my blog up to date.

Thursday 21 July 2011

At last......

At last a few hours to myself!!
I am actually at home for a few days, but unfortunately because I have torn a muscle in my leg and am trying to rest it as much as possible. Easier said than done if you have kids as you mum's well know!
Anyway thought I would show you a card I have just made using the "Beautiful Wings" embosslits die. It is actually a bigger version of one of my 5 for £6 cards, but using gems instead of beads for the centre of the butterflies. You could of course use pearls as well.

Friday 8 July 2011

Wick Week Special

Every Year in July "Wick Week" takes place. It is organised by the Wick Info Centre, the Wick Traders and the Littlehampton Town Council. There are lots of events taking place including Archery taster sessions, model helicopter flying and this year "Coffee & Create" by myself and Michelle from the Flower Shop.

For £2.00 you will be able to create a card and a small posy!

It will be on Wednesday 27th July and there are two sessions between 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Spaces are limited so booking is essential. If you fancy coming let me know, so I can add you to the list.

Sorry!!

Sorry I have been a very bad blogger and not done one for a while. Wont make any excuses just hadn't got round to it!
This month is the penultimate month of my Stampers Group. I hope to be able to start a new group following the launch of the new catalogue on 1st October. I will be holding a launch party on that date, when you will be able to claim your free catalogue and 10% off your first order if you join my group on that day.
Contact me for further details if you are interested.
Helen made the thank you cards this month and aren't they gorgeous! She has used the Elegant Bouquet Embossing folder and the use of black and white just makes them so stylish.

Tuesday 21 June 2011

Springtime Vintage

Here is the next 5 for £6 class design.

I have used the Springtime Vintage papers which is currently my favorite dsp.

The set also uses the Big Shot along with the Fun Flowers cutting die, the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Dies.

Thursday 16 June 2011

Springtime Vintage Papers

Helen and I are at Horndean on Monday demonstrating for a lovely group of ladies at their "50 up" club.

We were asked to do them a small project each and this is what we have come up with.

Hope you like it. It is using one of my favorite papers, the Springtime Vintage set. I only wish they did wallpaper in it too!

Saturday 4 June 2011

Gerbera's

Here is a larger picture of the vase of gerbera's I made for our craft extravaganza.

There are great fun and would cheer up any room!

They are made using the "Flower, Daisy" sizzix bigz die which is which is in the mini catalogue.

If you don't have the die, but would like some flowers, I can do a 'Build a Gerbera Flower" pack for 50p (+ p&p).

Just let me know how many and what colour you would like.

Show & Tell time

I have had another busy week, with two mini cards classes last week, a card class and a demonstration this week. No peace for the wicked!! Still half term next week and I can have a rest with the kids!

As I haven't posted any pictures for a few days I thought I would show you the Thank You cards that I did for my Stampers Group ladies last time.

I used some of the Newsprint paper. I am really liking the cream, black and red colour combo at the moment, as you can probably tell from a previous post!

I have used the Curly Cute stamp set, which I have to say is my fav sentiment set!

Saturday 14 May 2011

Craft Extravaganza

At last!! After weeks of organisation and preparation yesterday was our second Craft Extravaganza and what fun we had! Well I hope everyone else did too!!
The ladies all received a goody bag and free entry in our prize draw with enough prizes for everyone, so no one went away empty handed. They also complete five projects and had a superb buffet lunch courtesy of Sainsbury's and my Mun, who we couldn't have done without.

We made a tissue box cover, a coaster set, a small acetate box for 5 five chocys, a sour cream carton full of jelly beans, a card and some scrunched flowers.

Below are some of the photo's of the day.

New Mini Card Class Design

Hi. Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but Helen and I have been busy planning and preparing for our next Craft Extravaganza, which is only two weeks away now!

However I thought I would show you another mini class set that I have eventually finished.

It is using the Love Letters designer paper which I think you will agree is a very elegant design. I have used the motor cycle stamp which is proving to be very useful.

Don't forget if you fancy hosting a party please contact me and as the hostess you will get your class free, providing there are at least 6 people attending.

Saturday 23 April 2011

Play Time

What fantastic weather we are having at the moment. In between planting the pots and getting the garden into shape, I have been playing with my Big Shot!

Whist blog-hopping, I came across these lovely gerbera's and decided to have a go myself. I think they have turned out really well and might well be Incorporated into one of our mini card classes.

I have used the 'Flowers, Daisies' and 'Pillow Box' dies.

Just to remind anyone that is planing to come to the Craft Extravaganza on May 14th and hasn't let me know yet, I will need to know over the weekend, as Helen and I will need to start the preparations next week.

Tuesday 19 April 2011

Scrapbooking at last

I thought it was about time I did some scrapbooking. Partly because I have loads of photo's that I keep meaning to do and partly because I have been asked to do some scrapbooking parties and thought it wise to have some Stampin' Up sample pages ready to show. So here is one I made earlier!

Better late than ever I hear you say!!

It is using paper from the Newsprint set and Fun Flowers from my new favorite toy the Big Shot.

Thursday 14 April 2011

New Mini Motorcycle Stamp

Here is one of the lovely new stamps that are available in the new Mini.

Stamping' Up! have introduced a number of male themed stamps this time which is great as I was always a bit stuck when needing to do a card for the men in my life.

Sunday 3 April 2011

Quick Makes

I was asked by a lovely lady that I work with, if I could make some baby cards as she is going to need some in the coming weeks.

So sat down for a couple of hours today and make these cards using the Baby Tees Jumbo wheel.

I was also able to use some bits from my scrap box (not all SU, but I am afraid I cant throw anything away - I wish I could and so does my husband, but it seems such a waste!)

Hope you like them!

Next Windmill Class

Hello to you all out there in blog land. Isn't the weather great. Just right for getting out in the garden and doing things, hence why not a lot of posting done. Sorry.
Was busy last week with a class at the Windmill and getting ready for mini card party this week.
Just thought I would show you what we will be doing at the next Windmill class on 11th April.

Wednesday 9 March 2011

Like a kid in a sweet shop!

This is one of the many fun things about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. The big boxes of stash that turn up and have to be unpacked!
The down side is that it isn't always all mine!

Here is a picture of the one that has just turned up and needs processing.

Tuesday 8 March 2011

Quick Make

Hi, I thought I would should you this little card that I made last night whilst waiting for the veggies to cook.

It was made with the scraps I had left over from tonight's class pack's. Using the scallop square, I punched out the shapes from Blueberry Crisp paper with a Happy Birthday stamp from one of this year's Sale A Bration sets.

Great way to use up all those little scraps you don't know what to do with!

Windmill Class

First entry this month! Cant believe that it is March already!

Just to remind everybody that it is the Windmill Craft Club on Monday when we will be making the acetate boxes. Still spaces left so let me know if you would like one by the weekend so that I can make enough packs for all those that attend . Only £10 this month again and there should be enough stash to make 3 boxes and two cards.

If you don't want to join in the club class, but would like to bring your own project to do please feel free. There will however be a small charge of £5 to cover costs, but at least you can devote a couple of hours to yourself and have a cup of tea and a bicky in peace.

Hope to see you there.

Sue

Birthdays

This week it is my sister's and a very dear friend's birthdays, so I thought that I would make them presents this year as I really didn't know what else to get them. So I decided to make a set of small but perfectly formed cards in one of the no-cut boxes. I once again used the Sale a Bration sets as they just work so well for this sort of project. I was also a great way to use up some of that ever growing scrap pile! (Don't forget there are now very few days left if you wish to get your hands on one of these sets as the offer ends on 29th Feb.) Hope you like them

Thursday 17 February 2011

March's Windmill Class

Hi there. I hope you are enjoying the sun. I have just been in the garden clearing some of the weeds where the little daffs and crocuses are just beginning to poke through. It looks like spring is on its way!! Time to think of Easter and Mothers Day.

With that in mind in the next class at the Windmill on Monday 14th March, we will show you how to make these lovely little acetate boxes. They can be used for lots of occasions and filled with almost anything!

You will be given a pack with enough materials to make 3 boxes and a couple of cards too, all for £10 including tea & biscuits. If you don't fancy that but want to bring your own project to do and just join in the banter and have a cuppa please feel free to join us. There will be a small charge of £5 to cover the cost of the hall and refreshments.

Februarys Windmill Class

Yesterday Helen and I held our monthly class at The Windmill, Littlehampton. We had a really pleasant afternoon with our ladies. They made this concertina album with The Jolly Holiday papers. Helen helped them with the album and we just left them all to do their own thing and I have to say they all looked really wonderful. Helen and I felt quite redundant!!

Next month's class is on the 14th March and I will post a picture of the project we will be making as soon as I recharged the camera batteries!!

Sunday 13 February 2011

Thank You notes

Here are some little cards I recently made for my Stampers Group. I used the Sweet Summer & So Happy for You stamp sets from the Sale a Bration offer, which is only available for another two weeks.

Saturday 12 February 2011

Craft Day News

Unfortunately Helen and I have had to postpone the next Craft Extravaganza as lots of our ladies were unable to attend on the March date. We have now moved it to 14th May.

Beware Pirates!!

My latest purchase is the Beware Pirates stamp set which I am loving!!
I have been playing with it and made this card along with one made with the Lovely as a Tree set. They both used some retired paper that needed using up.

The happy birthday is not a Stampin Up stamp but one I found lurking in my box.
I have also used the pirate stamp in another mini class set that I have designed ready for use for our next class or party. Take a look at the "Party & Mini Class" page and you will see it there.

Happy New Year

Well I have spent the morning packing away the christmas decorations, putting the cards in a safe place for next year and hoovering up the pine needles from the tree.

I hope to be able to re home the Christmas tree where my husband works and maybe use it again next year. After all a tree is not just for Christmas, it is for life!

I just thought I would show you the decorations I made for the tree using punched shapes, which were folded in half and stuck together with a piece of Stampin Up's elastic cord in the middle. I used miles of the stuff over the festive period on my pressies and gift tags.

Easy to make and great fun with the kids helping. Just like making the paper chains in the old days!

Please excuse the fuzzy photo. I hope for a new camera for my birthday. But I am not holding my breath!
